I write this days later but I remember a few key points about a certain speaker that I would like to share. I heard many powerful speakers these two days, some giving some great content but others just doing a real good “pitch” for their product. Overall productive days, for networking I mean. Well, this short article will be about Steven Pierce. He titled his presentation “the someday intro”. I will also explain the “tic tac toe” analogy and how he gave some good traffic tips.
The Someday Intro
When is someday?
When people are just starting out online, they say I will get started on those ebooks, “someday”. I will get started on listening to those audios, “someday”. I will be able to live the life of my dreams, “someday”.
SOMEDAY, will never come! You need to change your perspective, use time management, and focus on what you will take on that day. Take action now, write down your tasks for the day and DO IT! Don’t get side tracked checking email, checking the stats on your blog, seeing who visited recently, going to your payment processing accounts to see how much money you made that day. Instead head to that piece of paper that you wrote your tasks down on and take action.
Tic Tac Toe
When we play the game tic tac toe, we are always trying to move the spot that will give us the most options to win, we are always adjusting to the moves of the other person and we are looking for the opening that gives us the highest probability of winning. Implement this into your business, we will only be successful if we are adhering to these strategies while times are always changing. Its not what you do, its how you do it!
The #1 Question in Market Research?
Where can I win?
You have to position yourself in a way that you know you will win. You will have your MISSION. Plan your OPERATION. What will your STRATEGIES be. What TACTICS will you use and the TECHNIQUES that will help you.
Ask yourself, where can I win, what would it take to win, and what will I use. When you are looking for the Niche to get into please follow this type of thinking and do some mind mapping. These are the tactics that Steven Pierce was teaching during his presentation. I found that this is true and after he was finished I had changed my whole PERSPECTIVE on how I think about doing things. I found that it is important that we need a VISION and we can’t control our environments.
Traffic
Here are some of his quick traffic tips that I ws able to capture while listening. If you want to grab the most traffic, solve problems for people. If you want to attract money, solve problems for people. People are looking for those that can solve their most pressing issues. Steven gave us 4 words that “Uncover Target Markets”.
When you use those various keyword tools out there, they deliver a huge amount of results when these specific words are put into the tool. These results will let you know specifically what people want to learn or get trainning in. All you need to do is develope the products and services that solve these issues. Steven gave us the tip of how you can follow these targeted keywords and phrases with “mini-sites”. That will be my next article, so stayed tuned!
