Preeminence.

It is the perception that a person is the best or one of the best authoritative sources on a specific topic. You don’t really need to be the best, but people just need to perceive you as the best. Its finding your niche and letting others see you exceed in it, while you may not be really at all.

Be a thought leader

Use you mind and lead with it. The brain is a powerful tool we have and it is up to you to decide how you want to lead with it. Use your stored and learned knowledge to be a leader on a particular thought and show others that you have the ability to discuss your opinions on this topic.

How to establish preeminence?

We do this by constantly educating ourselves with what is going on in our niche. For example, I love to go out clubbing, so I will research all the clubs and find out which ones suit me best.

Write about it from experience and education

You have been studying Baroque architecture. You went to Germany to visit Baroque castles among other things on your last trip. Now, you have the tools to begin writing about your experience and what you had learned. Travel may not be possible, but you can also use the internet to research baroque castles and write about those who have seen from pictures.

Present your knowledge with confidence

You can sound like you know what you are talking about, even though you may not. It’s the confidence and the way you present the knowledge. So if you write “I believe if you visit this castle, it will be a sight to see”, it seems you are not sure. So you write “This castle will be the best property you will ever visit in you life. From it’s high baroque detailing inside and out, to the magnificent furnishings that adorn the place, you will be amazed on how well it is preserved and its romantic flair”. That sounds confident.

How is preeminence a blog traffic tool?

When you include keyword rich text, you are allowing your blog to be noticed. What better way to drive traffic then to use words that are common searches. This could be better explained between the following two lines:

“The Hinson Hotel was one I will not visit again in my life. It was dreadful.”

“The Hinson Hotel in ABC City was the most the most awful and dreadful hotel in the state of Kansas. There were roaches, mice, dirty water, dirty sheets, bad customer service and no pool.”

What the second line does is includes key things hotel seekers are going to look for in their search. If I search for dirty sheets hotel ABC City, this blog is likely to generate close matches. Remember, keywords are really the keys to your blog.

Preeminence will convince people that your blog is worth reading.
You can title it fancy and say well Britney was at this club and she was so drunk and so on. You may have just seen it on TV, but no one knows you enough to know you were not there. In this case, you made your blog worth reading and convinced people to see it.

Another way would be the title or first content of your blog. It doesn’t have to be made up. You could say “I say this beautiful sunset over the Pacific when she came up”. You just staged the way to convince people to read your blog. Who is she? What happened?

RSS subscription will increase

The better you can relate to these searches, the more subscribers you will generate. From here, you will also increase you fan base as more and more people seek out your opinions and thoughts on these subjects.

Opens networking doors, people will ask for your opinions. Once people feel you know what you are talking about, you will begin generating interest and opinions from other viewers. People will start looking up to you as the Guru of hotels, travel or whatever field you decide to base your expertise.

How to be an expert

Experts are those who are looked up to. The Guru, as I mentioned before. Once word gets out, and your traffic increases, you can expect more and more people to look to you. Remember the golden rule of marketing; for every person who has a great experience, they will tell ten other people, who in turn, will tell another ten people and so on.

Be a “news reporter” for information in your niche. People will see you as the reporter. If you provide the inside scoop, you become the internet equivalent. Stick to what you know you can be comfortable discussing.

Educate yourself

Continue the learning process and stay up to date with your topic. If you fall away from it, you will lose the interested people. The web is a hard place to keep subscribers if you don’t keep up.

Have passion in your niche, which will show to your readers that you are an authority. When you share you passion, so do your readers. Again, the confidence in what you write about shows that passion and gives your writers that same passion to keep coming back.
