What is Reciprocity?

Reciprocity.

The Golden Rule as it has been called by some. We have all heard this word before. In this case, it’s not about money in. Instead it’s about the act of helping for no cost that makes people in return help you for no cost. You may sit back and think, “In today’s society, now way!” However, believe it or not, it is out there and perhaps this is what we need to bring back to our culture.

In the years before money was thrown around like water, people had a belief that helping someone at no cost to them, would in turn cause that person to return the favor when you needed it. If a farmer asked his neighbor to help plow his field, then when the neighbor was getting ready to do his field, he would ask. There was no exchange of money or profit, but helping someone out when you can help out. In this case, you are the exchange and not money.

There are terms or slang words we have come up. “One hand washes the other”, “You scratch my back I’ll scratch yours” or “Do unto others as you would like others to do unto you”. It was just a common part of life before we became a fast paced and more technologically advanced society where there is not enough time we feel to help out others and we just put money out there as help.

How about helping that old lady across the street? She isn’t going to help you with your yard work, right? Well in the case of reciprocity, it does not always have to be given back in the same manner. So you helped Mrs. Fields with mowing her lawn. Obviously she isn’t go to mow your lawn but perhaps she gives you some homemade chocolate chop cookies or even gives you some of her extra tulip bulbs and plant cuttings from her yard. You had exchanged your ability for goods in this case.

You can also find this term to go outside your backyard and into the global world. The Parliament of World Religions passed a “Declaration Toward a Global Ethic” in which all members go by the Golden Rule. The Buddhist believes the principle in the phrase “ Putting oneself in the place of another, one should not kill nor cause another to kill.
One who, while himself seeking happiness oppresses with violence other beings who also desire happiness, will not attain happiness hereafter.”

On the political side, Treaties and international affairs refer to this as favors, benefits, or penalties that are granted by one state to the citizens or legal entities of another, should be returned in kind. One example of this would be relaxation of travel restrictions, reduction in tariffs and even extradition.

In 19th century Canada, the term reciprocity was coined by the Canadian government to define free trade with the United States. This term could also be used not only to describe free trade with Canada and the United States, but between any two countries that open their doors to each other for the sake of Free Trade.

In social psychology, the rule of reciprocity refers to a positive action to a positive action. This also includes as well a negative action to a negative action. For example, if you get A’s on your report card, you parents would take you out to your favorite restaurant for dinner. For maintaining a positive action, you receive something positive in return. Now if you hit your sibling and you are sent to the corner, you are now on the negative for a negative side.

Serial reciprocity is most easily defined by the term “pay it forward”. In this case, let’s say that you give a gift to someone who feels that they cannot use it, but wants you to give it to an unfortunate family. So, your child has received a present for mowing Mrs. Fields lawn, but he wants to make another child’s day happy. So it is donated to the local hospital for a special needs child. In this example, the reciprocity went to a third party, and not between the two original parties. That is the basis of serial reciprocity.

As you can see, the term Reciprocity has many different meaning depending upon how you use it. From Mathematics, science, religion and politics, this term has long since been a major factor of human society for thousands of years. Perhaps it started back when the cave men would share their food with the women, who in turn took care of the home and children. You can see from there that this principle has been around since man.

Same goes for the online world. I hear of and see people going up to the “guru’s” at seminars asking them to promote their products and such. That is just not the way to go. Give them your product and ask what you can do for them. Offer your services and help them make their business better, never asking for anything in return. Trust me, they WILL remember you and in turn will help you when you need it most.

Take that to humans and a parent or parents are serving a form of reciprocity with their child by raising him or her. In turn, the child is taken care of until he is old enough. In the future, he may pay it back by taking care of his parents in their older years. Reciprocity is everywhere and we all have done it at one time in our lives.

Great PLR content for nothing is a Reality after all

Well, as you guys no doubt know, to really succeed with our internet marketing careers, we need to have great digital products that convert all of our qualified leads into real, cash-paying customers. For many people, coming up with products will involve them creating them on their own, or it may involve them commissioning other professionals to do the hard work for them, or outsourcing.

Chances are though, like most smart internet marketers, you probably want to save a whole lot of time and money. After all, if you were to create your own e-book for instance, expect to spend tens of hours doing the research you need, and then writing the book itself – and that’s if you’re only semi-decent at writing. If you’re a good writer, it will still take you hours and hours and if you’re terrible, well, forget it, because your e-book won’t sell. Trust me I have already been there.

Now, you certainly won’t go wrong by hiring a good writer to create a really good e-book, but think about how much a good writer is going to cost you. Wouldn’t you rather spend that money on getting visitors to your site so you can make more money?

I’m pretty sure, like me, you’re always looking for ways to save time and money on your internet marketing business. I’ll easily spend hours each week just reading up on the latest internet marketing happenings and news, in the endless search of improving the way I do things. In my latest search, I came across some good plr sites that can hook you up with articles and such to make it a bit easier to create those ebooks and articles:

www.plrwholesaler.com

www.plrpro.com

www.proplrpackages.com

www.resellrightsmastery.com

Of course, these are just some good examples of the quality sites that I have come across and use for niche sites. There are however, plenty of of free sites out there and public domain that also can fulfill that content need. You can also visit the Warrior Forum too in their WSO section for people selling some good plr articles and such.

How the Law of Association is Key in Marketing

The Law of Association is the proven idea that certain words have a mental or emotional association to them. The exact association, of course, depends upon the person or persons and their experiences. Basically, our minds, consciously or subconsciously, connect certain words, colors and pictures to other words, thoughts, feelings or ideas. For this reason, successful marketing campaigns greatly depend on the law of association.

10 Ways Web Site Text Can Impact

The appearance of your web site text can actually increase or decrease your sales.
The size, font, style and color of your text can easily affect your reader’s buying decision. Below are ten points to consider when typing text on your web site.

1. Easy To Read- You want to make it easy for your
visitors to read your text. You don’t want to use a light
colored text like yellow on a white background and
you don’t want to use dark blue text on a black back-
ground.

2. Create A Mood- You want to use the color of
your text to create a mood for the reader. If you want
to create excitement, use some red text. If you want to
create greed, use a some green text. Use colors that
would put you in a mood to buy your product.

3. Grab Their Attention- You can grab your readers
attention by using headlines. Make the headline more
noticeable by using a different colored headline than
your ad copy. This offsets the headline and pulls the
reader into the rest of your ad copy.

4. Highlight Keywords- You can emphasize phrases
and keywords that are important to your readers. For
instance, use super, deluxe, fast, low price, free, new,
etc. You could use bolding, underlining, italics, color
changing, etc.

5. Sizing It Up- You don’t want to use text that is too
small or to large. You want to use larger text for your
headlines and subheadings. You want to use smaller
text for your ad copy. If your grandparents can’t read
it, it’s too small.

6. Don’t Use All CAPS!- You don’t want to use all
capital letters in your ad copy. It looks unprofessional
and is hard to read. You may want to use all CAPS
in your headlines to offset it.

7. Font Properly- You want to use a text font that
relates to the product or services your selling. You
don’t want to use a comic type font when your selling
business books.

8. Spacing Out- It’s important to use spaces properly
when typing your text. You should indent and bullet
key benefits your product or service will give the
reader. Your headlines, subheadings, sentences and
paragraphs should be consistently spaced throughout
your web site.

9. I Need Sunglasses- Don’t use all bright text colors
and backgrounds on your web site. It will make your
text hard to read and actually bother your readers’
eyes to the point they just decide to leave your site.

10. Check The Readability- It’s important to check
your spelling and grammar before you upload your
web page. When writing an ad copy you’re allowed to
break some of those grammar rules to get your point
across.
