This was the weekend of my birthday, October 18th, so I decided to get myself down to the event down in L.A called ”Affiliate Incubator. This was presented by Stu Mclaren and Russell Brunson. Yet another awesome event I was able to attend! Besides the one presentation that was purely an insincere sales pitch, the event was extremely worth it. I got a ton of content from everyone speaking and was even fortunate enough to grab some photos with some great marketers. I will, later on when I gather my notes, post everything I learned and maybe reveal some great secrets. Maybe even a secret I don’t think I am supposed to let anyone know, but it was the way that Russell came up with the content for one of his biggest products. Hopefully this will spark some ideas for you guys who are just starting out and such. It is pretty late right now and my mind is really racing, I could not even sleep last night! I will also be posting my audio interview I am doing with Anik Singal , it is going to be about a the different ways to do affiliate marketing. I must admit, when I first went to a seminar back in March, I thought that these “guru’s” were just out to scam people and that they really had no intentions of actually helping people. Well, there are a couple that I have come across who are like that but for the most part I have met only those that are so laid back and willing to help. Here is a quick picture I took with Anik before leaving for the night… I am so tired…

Anik Singal from Affiliate Classroom & PPC Classroom
Stay tuned for the next two days, I will be posting some small tid bits and more pictures.
Writing free eBook reports can be a great way to drive some traffic to your sites or make some affiliate sales. Of course, the most important reason to write these reports is to brand yourself in the niche you are in. Basically, to gain some credibility.
How Would I Write a Free Report? The first thing to do is head to your computer or your laptop and open up a word document or a text file. I say that because this is how I start when beginning to write anything. I find that if I do the pen and paper thing, I tend to get distracted. Also, I head to a place where there isn’t a lot of clutter around or noise that also may be distracting. One of the ways I learned to write and structure reports or articles was by subscribing to marketers free newsletters/reports. I would, however, recommend assigning a different email address for this type of research. You don’t want to bombard your personal email with these types of promotions and emails. After I take care of the external distractions, I get to reading and studying. I would study the style of writing as apposed to content, although pay attention to it! The things that would catch my eye would be how the person wrote. Meaning, who wrote the most personal as apposed to being hype. I found that the more personal ones would be more appealing to me and would make me feel that I was getting to know the person. This way of writing was how I wanted to be able to come across.
What do I write about?
Then next obvious question would be what do I write about? Well, we can all start by searching within ourselves and finding what we are passionate about. I think people can see whether or not you are being true about what you are writing about. For internet marketing, try starting out with affiliate programs. I have made all my money online through affiliate sales. Normally you can do a video showing how the product works and give people a taste by giving it away in a small free report. Make this report very informative and explain why that product is highly needed. I only promote and write reports for products that I have bought and believe will help me in my business. Another way would be to do a “case study” in a niche that you are making money with and explain the steps you took to achieve this adding affiliate links to products along the way that have helped you, or complement what you did. You can also go out and find 3-4 articles in your related niche, read them carefully and then write a report in your own words based on what you learned, don’t copy! Of course, try not to state the obvious, try to give unique helpful suggestions.
Some Free or Almost Free Traffic Solutions
Forums
Now we need a way to get some people to read these reports. I like to start off with the ever famous Forums. I have been a long time member of the Warrior Forum. This is a great place to start posting and adding your knowledge. They do have an option for a signature file that is a great traffic source for any free report to be placed. Now, do not send people to a landing or squeeze page! Just give them the download link to get the eBook or report; you do not want to make people in that forum dislike you. If you are offering something for free, people don’t want to jump through hoops to get it. There are many forums out there, just do a Google search for the niche you are in and type “forum” at the end of it. This will yield a ton of results. Just make sure that the forum you decide to enter does have traction. I mean, has a following with a member count of 1000 or more; just a personal opinion. That way you can maximize that report to a large amount of traffic.
Download Sites
Another quick way to gain some traffic to your eBook or report would be download type sites. Try Download.com - Places that have access to freeware or shareware ect… The different ways to submit would be free, paid and I think premium paid. I believe that you can zip it or just have a link to your download page. Of course, you can submit to all and any submission sites as well. You can just Google the term “free eBook submission” and that should bring up some good site for you to browse and submit to.
Affiliate Incubator
Well that’s all I have for now, I will be doing a cool article for forum strategies soon. I will be busy this weekend attending the Affiliate Incubator Seminar being put on by Stu McLaren and Russell Brunson. So stay tunes for some great content I gather from the event as well as some great photos! Subscribe to my RSS feed at the top right corner of the site to get updated daily!

Setting up a website is the very first step of an Internet marketing campaign, and the success or failure of your site depends greatly on how specifically you have defined your website goals. If you don’t know what you want your site to accomplish, it will most likely fail to accomplish anything. Without goals to guide you in developing and monitoring your website, all your site will be is an online announcement that you are in business. If you expect your site to stimulate some form of action, whether it is visitors filling out a form so a representative can contact them, or purchasing a product, there are steps you can take to insure that your website is functioning at peak efficiency. One of the first indicators of how well your site is working for you is finding out the number of visitors in a given period of time. A good baseline measurement is a month in which you haven’t been doing any unusual offline promotional activities.
Re-think It
However, just because hoards of people have passed through your gates does not mean your site is successful. Usually, you want those visitors to actually do something there. It is equally important to monitor the number of visitors to your site who made a purchase. This figure is called the site conversion rate, and it is an essential element of the efficacy of your website.
Site conversion rate To find the site conversion rate, take the number of visitors per month and figure out the percentage of them that actually performed the action your site is set up for.For example, if you had 2,000 hits to your site, but only 25 of them purchased your product, your site conversion rate equals 1.25%. To get this figure, take your number of visitors and divide that figure by the number of visitors who made a purchase. Then divide that result by 100.
If your website is set-up to get visitors to fill out a form, make sure to then figure out what the difference is between your site conversion rate and your sales conversion rate. This is because not everyone who fills out your form will actually become your customer. However, whether your site is set-up to sell a service or product, or to get the visitor to fill out a form, the site conversion rate will measure the success or failure of your website whenever you make changes to the site.
Traffic Flow
Here is a quick interview I did with the successful Gobala Krishnan. You do not have to be a millionare in order to be considered a success, he makes from eight to ten thousand a month with his online businesses, to me that is successful. He and his team just launched their product FiresaleExposed which outlines their success from the previous “SendUsto.Us Firesale” launch. This is a person I met while attending the World Internet Main Event held in San Francisco and it was a pleasure! These are some general questions that I thought would motivate and help anyone just starting out online…
Gobala and Toki Interview:
1. What programs and or services are you providing to achieve 8k-10k a month?
Most of my online income (about 50%) is made from selling my own products, mainly from EasyWordpress.com and a few other sites. The rest of it comes from a combination of reselling other people’s products, affiliate marketing, advertising and Google Adsense.
2. How did you get started in internet marketing?
I got started in Internet ‘marketing’ by throwing in a lot of money on auto-surf programs, almost everything I had. Everything went bust one day, and I decided to build a real business online. I created one information product about VoIP and learned a great deal from it’s failure. My next information product, a simple ebook teaching Malaysians how to withdraw money from Paypal was the first successful product I had. I achieved my first 5-figure (Ringgit Malaysia) month with that.
3. What was the turning point for you to say “I quit” at your day job?
I had been secretly exploring Internet marketing even while I was working as a sales executive in a telecommunications company in Malaysia. One day, my boss found out I had other stuff going on besides my work, and I felt the pressure started to increase in my workplace. I decided I didn’t want to spend 9 hours a day doing something I hated, so I quit and threw myself into Internet marketing even though I was not making a significant amount of money at that time.
4. How long did it take for you to achieve 8k-10k a month?
It took me about 8 months.
5. Why did you start a blog and how long have you had it?
I started a blog to brand myself, and also to get more traffic to my websites. My blog at GobalaKrishnan.com is my first serious effort at blogging, and it has been online since March 2006.
6. How much do you make from your blog and HOW are you doing it?
